Permanent Downhole Monitoring Systems

Description
Spartek has two options for permanently installed Pressure/Temperature probes, the cost effective sapphire gauge or the high data quality quartz gauge. Both of these gauges use digital data transmission and subsurface signal processing to eliminate the effects of noise from signal transmission and maximize the accuracy and stability of the measurement.

For permanent installations, the Spartek gauges are annulus mounted on the production tubing with a special design mount arrangement capable of either internal or external sensing. This configuration is connected to the Wellhead electrical outlet through a monoconductor armored cable strapped to the tubing, thus allowing realtime continuous readout of the reservoir parameters under dynamic well conditions without production shut-in. Spartek has experience with several cable options. Cable selection is often based on the well characteristics.

By connecting the Spartek 6020 digital surface unit to the high pressure wellhead feed-through, real time pressure and temperature can be monitored, recorded and displayed in selectable engineering units.
